Ethnography Report - Ravyn
Yesterday was the last day from someone to write down what we did during the day, and the person for that day was me, Ravyn. Its amazing how fast the young writers camp is already coming to and end.
8:53 I arrive at YWC (Young Writers Camp) - Noah and Shannon are already there
8:54 Ted promises he'll be right back and leaves us :(
8:56 Melissa comes
8:57 Brandon comes
8:58 Ted comes back - with a lesson plan book (I wonder what he's gonna use it for?)
9:00 Calvin and Diego show up at the same time
9:01 Luz shows up and tells Ted that that she didn't bring her bag or her Composition book
9:03 We go upstairs (and arrange the desks in the way they are supposed to be)
9:06-9:30 We do Morning Pages
9:07 Lady comes in to sharpen pencils (Ted tells her that that our sharpener doesn't work)
9:14 Kyle finally comes to class
9:21 Luz asks Ted how to spell aisle
9:31 We share our Morning Pages (1st Shannon, 2nd Melissa, 3rd Ravyn, 4th Brandon, 5th Noah, 6th Diego, 7th Kyle, 8th Tehya, 9th Luz, 10th Calvin)
9:40 We discuss the importance of reading (how most middle schoolers don't like to read)
9:46 Melissa shares ethnography report
9:49 Tehya shares ethnography report from Monday
9:50 Ted tells to add details to our ethnography reports, story, poems, essays, etc.
9:52 Ted has Tehya add fact to her ethnography report.
9:57 Ted has us get into a semicircle (again) to share lines, poems and stories that we made yesterday on when we walked around campus
10:00 Ted talks about poems and revising them (Ted really talks a lot )

10:13 Ted compliments how Brandon memorizes the lines that he reads so he look out into the audience instead of at the page

10:24 Ted reads us "Stranger" by Claudia Ross (one of his old students going into 9th grade)
10:28 - 10: 45 Ted has us write a poem about what we saw around campus yesterday (we go back to our regular seats)
10:50 - 11:15 BREAK TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
